Minerals, Milk, and the Myth of Not Enough

6

Let’s talk about two important questions today:

  1. How do we work with nutrient-depleted soils—and still meet our body’s mineral and nutrient needs?

  2. How do we know we’re doing enough for our health and healing?

Let’s start with the first.

It’s easy to feel discouraged when we hear about how depleted modern soils have become. But here’s the good news: while our ancient ancestors had incredible foods like raw milk, cream, and pasture-raised meats, they didn’t have the same access to food diversity that we have today.

In the video, I share how fortunate many of us are to now have access to a wide range of nutrient-dense foods—like mineral-rich sea salt, wild-caught seafood, seaweeds, and raw dairy from cows, goats, sheep, water buffalo, and even reindeer. Our ancestors often only had one or two of these in their diet. Today, we can draw from a far more diverse array of sources to nourish ourselves deeply. That’s something to celebrate.

And that brings us to the second question: how do you know you’re doing enough for your healing?

Let’s be real—so much of the messaging we receive around healing tells us we’re not enough. That we should always be doing more, trying harder, never slipping up. But that’s not healing—that’s punishment.

This mindset is toxic. It keeps us locked in fight-or-flight, disconnected from our inner wisdom, and convinced that healing is only for the perfect. But true healing is rooted in self-worth, self-trust, and self-compassion.

So if you’re showing up with intention, nourishing yourself, and doing your best with what you have—you are doing enough.

I hope this video helps you feel both informed and supported. As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts or questions in the comments.

Keep going—you’re doing great.

With care,
