Histamine intolerance is having a moment—but like so many trending health topics (Lyme, mold, parasites), it’s also deeply misunderstood.
Too often, histamine intolerance becomes a label people get stuck in.
It’s another diagnosis that leads to rigid diets, endless supplements, and a narrow view of healing that, at best, only manages symptoms. At worst, it deepens the imbalance.
Here’s what your functional doctor probably won’t tell you about histamine intolerance:
It’s often driven by genetic predisposition.
One of the primary root causes? Antibiotics and other suppressive therapies that disrupt the body’s natural immune system and ecosystem.
It’s a reflection of a dysregulated nervous system—often one that’s been in survival mode for far too long.
Probiotics? In many cases, they’re not just unhelpful—they can make things worse, especially when used long-term.
And finally, it’s not just about food. Histamine issues are often rooted in hidden stressors—past trauma, chronic overwhelm, or environmental factors that keep the system in a chronic state of hypervigilance and inflammation.
In this video, I share what I’ve seen over the past decade in my private practice:
The physical, emotional, and mental roots of histamine intolerance.
How it shows up.
Why conventional (and even functional) approaches often fall short.
And how you can begin to unwind the deeper causes—gently, holistically, and with more flexibility and self-trust.
Because…healing isn’t meant to be rigid.
When you confine yourself to a diagnosis, you limit the tools and perspectives that could truly support your healing.
Healing is woven into the rhythm of life—it unfolds in layers, over time, and with the support of a spacious, nurturing environment.
During this video, I invite you to step outside the box. Get curious. Your body already knows the way home.
